Unit 8 Our dreams

Cartoon time + Extended reading)

一、教学目标

1. 语言能力目标:

1通过上下文理解和自然拼读等方式,理解brave, paint, scientist, artist, patient, creative, customer, band等词汇的读音及意思。

2能运用目标句型:...wants to be.../...wants to ...来谈论自己及他人的梦想,并能从内容、原因、品质、行动等方面进行扩充。

3能自主阅读故事,能尝试复述故事。

2. 文化意识目标:

(1)通过本节课的学习,学生可以了解不同职业所承担的职责内容,强化学生的责任意识。

(2)通过本节课的学习,引导学生在逐梦路上要坚持不懈,并善于抓住机会和积极行动,从而实现自己的梦想。

3. 思维品质目标:

(1)通过梦想框架和梦想卡的相互转述,强化学生人称之间的转化训练,提升学生的逻辑思维能力。

(2)通过读图分析、模仿朗读等教学形式,发展学生检索信息和归纳信息的能力,培养学生发散性思维的形成。

4. 学习能力目标:

(1)能通过小组合作完成梦想框架和归纳“三次机遇”,加强学生合作学习的能力和总结归纳能力。

(2)能对他人的梦想进行评价,培养学生的评价能力。

教学过程

Step 1 Lead in

1. Enjoy a song <What do you want to be?>

T: Whats the song about?

Ss: Dreams.

Today we’ll go on talking about dreams.(揭题)

 

2. Share and talk

T: After the second lesson, we enrich our dream card. Now its your turn to share your dream cards.

Ss:学生介绍自己的梦想

T:  But is it enough?

Ss: No.

T: Exactly. Lets learn from our animal friends. They all have a dream.(播放录音)But how do they make their dreams come true?

 

Step 2  Cartoon time

1. Watch and learn

Q: What are their dreams?


2. Think and answer 

Q: What does a scientist do?   

Q2: Why does he want to be a scientist?     

Q3: To be a scientist, what qualities should he have?  

 

3. Think and report


4. Read and complete 

T: You know a lot about Bobbys dream. How about Sam, Willy and Billys dream. Please read the story from 84-85, choose one friend and complete his dream. Then report in groups.

 

5. Read the story

 

Step 3 Belinda the ballerina

1. Preview and say

Q: Whats her dream?    

Q2: Why?     

Q3: Was it easy or not?    

Q4: What was the problem?      

 

2. Listen and find

Q: To be a ballerina, what did Belinda do at first?(听录音,找寻答案)

 

3. Read and find

Q1: Was it a problem for the judges?    Ss: Yes

Q2: What did the judges say?   

T: Can you try to read them?(听录音,模仿朗读)

Q2: Was it a problem for herself? Maybe yes, maybe no. Lets check later.

 

4. Guess and read(猜测内心想法)

T: Now Belinda was sad. She stood in front of the mirror. What would she think?

 

5. Think and say(呈现图片,分析解读)

Q: If you were Belinda, how would you choose? Stop dancing or go on dancing?

Q2: Was she happy? Why?  

 

6. Read and find

T: Look! Belinda was dancing on the stage finally. She could danced and danced again. Because she met the three chances. What are the three chances?

Teach: band, maestro

 

7. Think and say

T: Was it a problem for herself?   

T: Look, this is Belinda she used to be. This is Belinda now. If she could talk to this Belinda, what would she say?


Step 4 Your dreams

1. Write and share

T: Now we can enrich our dream card like this. This time, please write down your dreams again and share it.


Step 5 Homework

Have to do:

1. Enrich your dream card and share it with your family and friends.

2. Enjoy the whole story and try to listen and repeat.
