Build the school(P334-340)
Well, so how do Thomas and his classmates build their school?
T:Now they succeed/finish building the school. What do the students learn from building the school?
Skills: Do you think they can do more things (including all of these)and do things better? They can learn many skills 板书just like labour skills and communication skills. Skills are important. In our lives, we need to learn different kinds of skills.
Team work: Can Thomas finish building the school by himself?
It’s too difficult. So Thomas should work with their classmates. So what can they learn? To work with others/team members. Team work is also important. More people, more power.
These are what they learn in the first lesson.

Q:But what does the teacher think of the students? Does the teacher also think they work hard?
T:We can see the teacher always praises and encourages the students. /These are the encouragements 板书from the teacher. Actually, besides our own hard work/when we grow up, others’ encouragement is also important for us. Do you agree with me?
After going back home(P350-352)
We know the students learn so many things at school. How time flies! Nine months has passed by! The students go back home. So what happens after that?

When going back to school again(P353-355)
Well, the school almost disappears after the big rains. So when Thomas goes to school again/returns to school next year, what will Thomas do ?
If you were Thomas, what would you say to the young children on the way to school? Work in pairs and have a discussion./You can discuss with your partner.
T: Yeah. What Thomas say to the young children is the knowledge what Thomas learned last year/has learned before. That’s the ending of the story.

Thanks for your sharing. I really love your ideas./ I believe you do get a lot from the story.
Actually, in our lives, we may face many problems like the big rains. And we will have different feelings. But it doesn’t matter. Because no matter how big the rains are, we always have so many ways to grow up. Only if we work hard to learn knowledge and never lose our hope, can we grow up into a big tree. This is what Rain School wants to tell us.
