Step 1 Warm up

1. Greetings

T: Hello, boys and girls, I’m Miss Bianyour English teacher for this class. Nice to meet you. Today, well go on learning Unit 7 Protect the Earth.

2. Read and guess

T:First,let’s read some sentences and play a guessing game.

No.1—— Its important to us.We  use  it to  clean things.

What is it?Yes,it’s water.

No.2——Its useful.Most  of  it comes from coal and oil.

So? It's energy.You’re right.

Next——Wood comes from them.They can keep the air clean.

What are they? Yes,they’re trees.

Last one——We use  it to  make bags and bottles.But  we shouldnt

use it too much.

Right,it's plastic.

Water, energy, trees and plastic are resources on the Earth. To protect the Earth, what should we do?

We should save water, save energy and save trees. And don’t use too much plastic. We should love and protect our Earth.We can save things, and we can also reuse things.

3. Review and say

T:Look at the students,they collect some paper ,plastic bags and plastic bottles. How can they reuse things? Let’s listen.

I can reuse paper to make a box.

I can reuse a plastic bottle to make a toy.

T:What about your ideas? What do you collect? How can you reuse it?

4. Think and say

T: Boys and girls, you did a good job. The Earth is our home.We should tell more people about it.So we can do a project.(分音节教授project

To do a project,we can think, talk, make and show.Doing a project is interestign and meaningful. Sam and Bobby are doing a project.(引出Cartoon time)


Step 2 Presentation and Practice

1. Watch and think

T:Let's watch the cartoon and think about the questions:

Q1: What do they want to make?

Q2: Why do they want to make it?

(播放Cartoon)

S:They want to make a poster.

T:Sam says: Let’s make a poster and tell them about it.

T:Billy can help. Sam starts drawing.What do they draw?

2. Scan and circle

T: We can scan the passage and circle the key words.

About Sam, we can circle “the Earth”,“trees and flowers”. So Sam draws __________.(The Earth is green, blue and brown)

What do Bobby and Billy draw? Please scan and circle.(背景音乐,学生浏览课文)

Bobby draws __________.

T:Sam,Bobby and Billy talk happily and make the poster. Let’s read Passage 2 and 3.

3. Look and say

T:The poster is ready.Look!How is the poster?(引导学生用感叹句回答。)

What a nice poster!

Where can we put it?(学生用旧知,参与课堂思考)

Where do Sam and Bobby put it?

Look! They put it at the school gate.(教授)

Here comes Willy.(ppt 声音)What a nice poster!

T: Willy likes the poster. What does he learn from it?

What do you learn?

T:Let’s listen and repeat Passage 4.

4. Read and remember

T: Doing a project is meaningful. Read the whole passage by yourselves.

5.Complete and retell

Now, can you complete the passage bellow and retell cartoon time? Have a try.(播放背景音乐)

5. Read and learn

To do a project, Sam and Bobby think,talk ,make and show their ideas.They put the poster at the school gate. Everyday I go to school.I mean from Monday to Friday.What about you?

I think it’s really cool.We have fun in the classroom Every morning and afternoon.

Here, oo is pronounced [u:]. Can you read these words? Great! This time, can you read the rhyme?

6. Read and practise

Well done! Every day I go to school. Sometimes I go to the zoo. Can you finish the new rhyme?

Yes!Now, let’s read the new rhyme.

Look at the kangaroo and panda. Are they happy?

Why? They don’t want to live in the zoo.Where are their homes?

We can make a poster and protect the animals and their homes.

Step 3 Consolidation

1.Discuss and make(仿照Cartoon time,谈论并画海报)

Let me draw the ocean first.It's blue.

Let me draw a whale. We shouldn't hurt them.

We should protect the ocean and keep it clean.

2. Posters show

1. Practise saying the rhyme.

2. Read the cartoon and act it out.

3. Try to do a project about  your own topic.

基于英语学习活动观的教学设计

本课是六年级上册Unit 7 Protect the Earth的第三课时,教学Cartoon time Sound time两个板块。

英语学习活动观指出:指向学生学科核心素养的英语教学应以主题意义为引领,以语篇为依托,整合语言知识、文化知识、语言技能和学习策略等学习内容,创设具有综合性、关联性和实践性的英语学习活动,引导学生采用自主、合作的学习方式,参与主题意义的探究活动,并从中学习语言识,发展语言技能,汲取文化营养,促进多元思维,塑造良好品格,优化学习策略,提高学习效率,确保语言能力、文化意识、思维品质和学习能力的同步提升。

教师基于英语学习活动观,在Protect the Earth这一主题下,进行教学活动。

一、学习理解:围绕主题语境,激活已知知识和经验,形成新的知识结构。

学生是学习的主体,在第一课时中,学生了解了WaterEnergyTreesPlastic这四种资源的重要性。所以本节课开始,教师设计了Read and guess这一理解性活动,激活已知知识。此外,学生也在第二课时的学习中,尝试收集和再利用物品(collect and reuse things,本节课给学生交流的平台,分享自己的实践,激活已知经验,为构建新的知识结构做准备。依托Cartoon time的语篇,理解文本:Bobby and Sam做了课题,以做海报的形式表达他们的课题,分别画了什么?做海报的意图是什么?

二、应用实践:描述、阐释、分析、判断等交流活动,巩固新知,形成能力。

Cartoon time的学习中,采用快速浏览的阅读策略查找关键信息,分析为什么Bobby会画香蕉、Billy会画垃圾桶,描述海报并谈论海报涵义等,在分析问题和解决问题的过程中,促进自身语言知识学习、语言技能发展、文化内涵理解、多元思维发展、价值取向判断和学习策略运用。

三、迁移创新:运用策略和技能,创造性解决新情境中的问题,理性表达观点。

Discuss and make环节中,学生根据新的话题,谈论怎样画一张“Protect the Ocean”的海报,表达自己的观点,意识到保护环境的重要性并了解做课题的基本思路(选题、合作讨论、实施、交流等)。

综上,本节课的学习在英语学习活动观的引领下,注重课程内容的整合性,内容和学生生活关联,重视学习过程,促进学生核心素养发展。
